The clarion call for FREE HINDUSTAN was raised by a small number of Hindustanees including Bengali students, Punjabi Jat Sikh agricultural farm labourers, daily wage earner and unskilled manual workers in the United States of America in the years 1904-1915 much before call for Independence given by the Indian National Congress in 1930. Their fellow Asiatic Labourers from Japan and China looked upon them with contempt and taunted them as slaves of the British, coolies and guards. The call FREE HINDUSTAN was the dire need and urgent necessity for keeping the prestige and honour of the entry of their origin higher in the eye of their fellow Asiatic Laboures and their American Employers. This, in covers of time, took the shaped Ghadr movement.

The book is the reprint of the secret document. The Ghadr Directory, Punjab section, published in 1915. It covers the period from 1913 to 1915.
