Bhartree was of royal descent and a very near relative of Raja Bhoj ruler of Alwar Tajara, now known as the Alwar State. He received a very high education and turned out to be a good Pandit and one of the profoundest scholares of his time. After completing the first part of his life in studentship, he remained a household for some time and then became a hermit in this state.
