An introduction to India, would be like viewing the world itself from the skies. What India is, would also be to ask, What India Is not.

India can be summed up thus; A sub-continent, nay, a continent itself; the land of the Himalayas and the Vindhyas, the Buddha, Mahaveera, Shankara, Gandhi, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Basaveswara, Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore, to name only a few, the land of the Holy Ganga, Brahmaputra, Jamuna, Krishna and the Cauvery, the land of the Vedas and the Upanishads, etc.
